About the Role

Reporting directly to both the CEO and Finance Manager, the People & Culture Officer provides professional day to day business and administrative support, ensuring the efficient and effective function of all human resource functions.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, to develop, consult, implement and review companywide initiatives that focus on bringing out the best in all our Team members.

A true generalist role with autonomy and room to create and grow, the role encompasses talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, remuneration and benefits, and company policy review and development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the recruitment of new staff
  • Manage the onboarding and induction process of all new employees
  • Weekly and Monthly payroll for approximately 50 staff
  • Manage the HR database, including maintaining staff files
  • Monitoring and reporting on legislative compliance
  • Assist in the performance management process, including biannual staff performance reviews
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of an interactive employee handbook
  • Drive employee communication and engagement to create a positive and high performing work environment
  • Promoting diversity, equity and inclusion across all business units
  • Assist in the creation of interactive online learning modules for our Team
  • Coordinating with the internal marketing team to create and promote activities that enhance our organisation’s culture
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to the CEO and Finance Manager
  • Undertake administrative tasks relating to the role (and wider group) as required

About You

  • Degree in Human Resources,  Change Management, Business or related discipline is desirable
  • Minimum 3 years generalist HR experience
  • Experience using Employment Hero HR and Payroll systems (desirable)
  • Able to develop relationships and trust with a diverse range of stakeholders with differing priorities
  • Able to think creatively but act strategically
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Problem solving skills that are solutions focused
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • With a positive “can–do” attitude and ability to pivot and re–prioritise when needed.
