EESI Group Assists QLD DES With Landmark Court Case – Expert Support for Legal Work

Linc Energy, a gas company operating out of Queensland’s Darling Downs, has been found guilty of causing serious environmental harm through the operation of its underground coal gasification (UCG) plant.

EESI Group’s Founder and Executive Chair, Phil Mulvey, provided expert witness technical advice in relation to the environmental impacts of the UCG plant.  “The case was unusual in many respects but was challenging technically as it required the use of my experience in mining, emissions from retorts, agriculture and environmental auditing”

The case is one of a number of ongoing expert witness roles that EESI Group is currently undertaking as part of our growing legal support, M&A and due diligence services which included the recent acquisition of Arrium Onesteel group by GFG Alliance which includes Liberty House (See Separate Article).

“The fact that we have been operating in Australia for over 35 years in a diverse range of industries has resulted in our senior people have a breadth of knowledge and an extensive network that is ideal for the technical and tactical work needed for M&A and legal support” Phil Mulvey Founder.
